In 1994 My Cola (then known as Pet Packaging) was born into the local food and beverage industry that was dominated by three big giants- Coca Cola and Pepsi of international fame and Elephant House, a household name synonymous with quality food supplies that dominated the local market for over 150 years. My Cola entered this world of giants initially with hygienically bottled drinking water under the brand “Crystal”, the oldest bottled water brand in Sri Lanka, with “Life” being added to the product portfolio later. The bottles come in handy sizes of 500ml, 1 Ltr., 1.5 Ltr. And 5Ltr. with convenient and easy to carry handles.

In 2004, My Cola came of age at the tender age of ten years when they launched carbonated beverages, under a project approved by the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI), in a range of mouth watering flavours to tantalize the consumer. Today My Cola brand provides thirst quenches with great taste in flavours such as Cola, Orange, Lemon, Berry (fruity), Ginger Beer (MGB), Cream Soda and of course our very own energy drink “My Power”, and not forgetting the plain Soda as a chaser to go with your high spirits. Whether you are a youngster full of life and on the go or an adult enjoying a settled lifestyle or a senior citizen who just wants to rest with an energizing thirst buster, My Cola has your every need and every mood covered all day long with their exciting range of flavours to tease your taste buds.

With a creative imagination and sheer determination to succeed in the giant’s world, My Cola carved out its own unique identity in the local space to gain the trust of consumers as a brand synonymous with real taste and undisputed quality. Today My Cola ensures its superior product quality through a dedicated and well trained team operating within facilities that comply with health and safety standards specified by regulations and that use best practices in the industry. Having built on this trust for many years supported by a culture of continuous improvement, My Cola received an invaluable endorsement to its established taste and quality standards when their product was well accepted in two export markets in Asia. The product also carries the stamp of approval from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute and the Ministry of Health endorsing that all products are produced in line with their approved standards.

When entering the market, My Cola introduced an innovative concept of a ‘one-way pack’ in the form of hygienically sealed PET bottles, with a handy handle for heavier bottles, when the big giants were still relying on the age old system of returnable glass bottles in crates. This again reflects My Cola’s commitment and dedication to delight the customer by giving value for money with convenience. My Cola ensures that their product is available at all times within reach of the discerning consumers island-wide through an efficient distribution network of over 64 distributors supported by a dedicated team of over 80 sales and marketing personnel.

1994

  • We cut the ribbons and set up our first factory, equipped with dreams higher than the skies.

2004

  • Established as a BOI approved project.
  • Introduced our first beverage; my Cola, and with more on the way.
  • We set up our second factory, exclusively for beverages.

2005

  • Introduced my Power Energy drink, a novel energy drink to hit the Sri Lankan markets.

2007

  • We put our hats on and got down to creating more flavours. Voila! New Flavours, just for you.

2008 – 2018

  • Implemented Modern Trade Operation in our processes for better efficiency.
  • Created an islandwide sales network

2019

  • Constructed a high-capacity warehouse and upgraded our flavours to a whole new level of taste and excitement in agreement with International Standards.

2020

  • Initiated a Modern Trade Office in Colombo to improve service, efficiency in product delivery and improve product availability in Sri Lanka.
  • Flew beyond the seas for our first export to Singapore and Malaysia.

Future

  • Expand our horizon to the international market and develop new flavours for my Cola lovers all around the world.
  • To re-launch our infamous energy drink, my Power Energy drink, back into the market
  • Maintain a constant stream of training & skill development of our production team to nurture efficiency and a continued development of high-quality standards.
